MOSES LAKE — The Moses Lake School District announced that the Digital Learning Center has received recognition as a 2024-2025 Imagine Learning Beacon School. The award is given to schools that excel in utilizing Imagine Learning programs to improve student learning and achieve significant academic outcomes, according to MLSD.
The Beacon School Award is awarded to institutions that demonstrate exemplary implementation of Imagine Learning tools. DLC was nominated by representatives from Imagine Learning for its effective and enthusiastic application of these programs by both educators and students, according to MLSD.
Established in 2021, the Digital Learning Center was designed to address the diverse needs of students within a learner-centered framework. The program combines online and in-person instruction, emphasizing digital literacy, critical thinking, and personalized learning plans, allowing students to advance at their own pace in a technology-driven environment.
“This award is amazing because it really is a recognition of all our students and staff efforts over the course of the last four years,” said DLC Director Brandon Byers in a statement from the district. “We are excited about the upcoming years and the potential for our future growth and how our school can provide another option for our community's students.”
