The Whitefish softball team faced a tough road test Friday, falling 21-0 to Eureka in a nonconference matchup.
The host Lions got off to a fast start, scoring 10 runs in the first inning and adding 11 more in the second to quickly put the game out of reach. Eureka’s offense tallied 14 hits over two innings while playing clean defense, committing no errors.
Whitefish, meanwhile, struggled to find offensive momentum against a dominant Eureka pitching performance. The Bulldogs managed just one hit in the contest — a single by Tilly Daniels — as the Lions' defense kept runners off the bases throughout the three-inning game.
The game was called after three innings due to the 15-run mercy rule
