Wildkat pitchers combine to no-hit rival Bulldogs

COLUMBIA FALLS — Chevelle Bedford paced the Columbia Falls offense, collecting three hits and three RBIs as the Wildkats picked up a 15-0 win against their rival Whitefish Bulldogs in high school softball Monday night. 


Katie Bulawsky took the circle for the Kats (8-6) and didn’t allow a hit or earned run, striking out five across two innings. Ella Brandstetter took over in relief and kept the no-hit bid alive, striking out five in the final two innings as the game ended early on the run rule.  


Onnikka Lawrence went 3-for-3 with a double and three runs scored. Kylie Gjesdal-Davis was also perfect at the plate with three hits, two RBIs and crossed the plate once. Annika Reid doubled and drove in three runs. 


Lucia Pitman pitched the whole game for Whitefish (0-3-1), giving up 17 hits, 15 runs, only nine of them earned. The Bulldogs generated three base on balls.  


Columbia Falls will travel to Ronan for a 4 p.m. matchup with the Maidens on Tuesday. Whitefish travels to Libby for a 5 p.m. game on Thursday.
