ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Jetta Thaete, Sandpoint Track & Field

This week's Athlete of the Week is Jetta Thaete of Sandpoint Track & Field.

A junior, Jetta recently placed first out of 15 in the javelin throw with a mark of 114 feet, 2 inches at the Lakeland Invite to win her sixth straight invitational on the year. Previously, at the Van Kuren Invite hosted by Cheney High, the right-handed phenom was first out of 50 competitors and improved her own school record in the javelin with a toss of 132 feet, 3 inches, which ranks as No. 1 in the state of Idaho.
