Mary Elva (Cress) Harrell, 87

Mary was born July 18, 1937, in Hunters, Wash., to Ira and Etta Cress. A woman of strong faith and quiet strength, she touched many lives with her kindness and devotion.
Mary Elva Harrell, 87, passed peacefully into heaven April 17, 2025, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Frank J. Harrell; her parents, Ira and Etta Cress; and her great-grandson, Gage J. Mann.
She is survived by her daughters, Gail (Chris) Tucker of Crescent City, Calif., and Karen (Mark) Zurfluh of Post Falls, Idaho; her grandchildren, Levi Mann of Post Falls, Idaho, Joshua Mann of Crescent City, Calif., Alaina Zurfluh and Kirsten Zurfluh, both of Spokane, Wash.; and her brother, George (Edith) Cress of Medimont, Idaho.
Mary’s life was marked by her faith, love for her family, and quiet dedication to helping others. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
She was an original member of Ironwood Chapel (now Resolute Ministries) in Coeur d’Alene, where she volunteered as bookkeeper for over 20 years.
A celebration of life will be held May 17 at 1 p.m. at Resolute Ministries, 1165 Ironwood Drive, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
