A local author who named his publishing company to honor a North Idaho town has penned his third book.
Gerry Rogers of Hayden-Lakes Publishing released "Mystic Bay" on July 22.
A story of renewed life, intriguing secrets and an everlasting promise, "Mystic Bay" tells the story of Dan, who, for the first time in years, has the opportunity to live life again. He is given a new lease on life through sailing, which provides him with mental, physical and spiritual healing.
Dan's life has been a long secret for which he paid a high price: The loss of his family.
Beth has one chance to right her life after a huge mistake. Her life is dependent upon one serious event taking place, the odds of which are long.
While sailing, Dan must find Mystic Bay — Beth's home — no matter what. She lives for his promise to find her.
Rogers, an Inland Northwest resident who lived in Hayden for six years, spent years traveling the world while working in the computer industry. He managed software design and development companies for more than 20 years. Mid-career, he attended graduate school and has now retired to the Northwest.
