Lois Dupuis, 93

It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of Lois E. Dupuis. Lois was born July 23, 1932, and departed from us July 29, 2025, at the age of 93.

She was a truly remarkable Christian woman, cherished as a beloved sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandma, great-grandma, great-great-grandma, daughter, niece, cousin, and a genuinely generous friend to all who knew her.

Lois graduated from Hot Springs High School in 1950 and made Polson her home in 1958, where she lived the majority of her life. During her time in Polson, she owned gift shops and lovingly raised her family.

Lois was a woman of many talents, always greeting everyone with the warmest smile, tender kindness, and a forgiving heart. Her family will remember her for her incredible resilience, witty humor, beautiful flowers, and delicious baked goods.

From raising four children on a cattle ranch to curating and displaying the finest gifts on Main Street for a decade, Lois was a woman who could accomplish anything when given enough time, all while gracefully putting the needs of others first.

Lois was a woman of unwavering faith who found strength in Jesus. She deeply valued her family and friends and appreciated the little things in life. She enjoyed reading, watching Hallmark and Disney movies with her grandchildren, quilting, gardening and bird watching. Lois also loved sweet treats, especially chocolate ones!

Lois always found the silver lining in every situation. She embraced the life of a rancher’s wife, including being very involved in her church. In her younger years, she enjoyed teaching Sunday School.

Her resilience was evident throughout her entire life in all that she did. Her generosity to others was unmeasured, a truly incredible trait that has been passed on to those she loved, befriended and cared for across generations.

Lois was the daughter of Lando and Lucille Bras and a dear sister to Donna, Mary Lou, Bud, Clarence and John Bras. She married her high school sweetheart, Oliver Dupuis, in 1950, and together they raised four children: Shiree (Ron), Kendall (Linda), Randy (Brenda), and Nola (Chris). She was a proud grandma to Kimberly (Tom), Chanel (Tim), Anni (Brent), Tyson (Andrea), Tyler, Scott, Dalyn (Anna), Danielle, Jayme, Steven, Kym (Travis), Jessica (Brock), and Chance (Jessica). Her joy was immeasurable, surrounded by 36 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, all of whom she adored dearly.

A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, at The Bridge Church. A visitation was held prior to the service at 1 p.m. at the church. Messages of condolences may be shared with the family online at lakefuneralhomeandcremation.com.
