William Francis “Billy” Gow passed away in Sandpoint, Idaho, on Monday, July 28, 2025.
Billy was born Dec. 17, 1949, in Teaneck, N.J., the son of George A. and Dorthy Gow. The family moved to Riverside, Calif., in 1960. He attended schools in the Riverside area.
He married Diane Dewey in January 1976 in Cherry Valley, Calif. He moved to Sandpoint in the early 1980s. He had worked as a gardener, worked for Kmart, and bagged groceries at Yoke's. Billy enjoyed the Sandpoint area and his friends.
He is survived by his wife, Diane Gow; his brother, George (and Donna) Gow; his nephews, Gregg (and Linsey) Gow and Michael (and Laura) Gow; his cousin, Shirley Mitchell; and numerous grandnephews and cousins.
Memorial services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 8, 2025, in Coffelt’s Funeral Chapel with Mike Couch officiating.
