With hands lifted in prayer, a heart anchored in faith and surrounded by her children, Katie Peters returned to the arms of her Creator on July 27, 2025. She walked this earth with a strength that came from above, and now she walks in light eternal.

She was born July 15, 1959, in Webster Springs, W.Va. Katie was a woman of deep devotion — devotion to her family, to those in need, to her church and, above all, to her God. Her belief wasn't just spoken — it was lived. Through trials, through triumphs, through quiet mornings and long nights, she held fast to her faith and lived by the light of it. From nursing to motherhood, she always walked the talk, was always an example and was ALWAYS heart-led.

She was a beloved mother, wife, sister, grandmother and friend, a prayer warrior, and a safe haven for all who needed comfort. Her Bible was never far from reach, her words often laced with scripture, and her love poured out in both words and deeds.

Katie is survived by her five children, Sarah, Rebecca, Hannah, Joshua and Caleb, her sisters, Jane, Brenda and Cindy, and her brothers, Bobby and Larry. She is now reunited with her parents, Smith and Eva, and her brothers, Tommy, Roger, Ronald and Sammy.

Her life was a testimony. Her legacy is eternal.

"Well done, good and faithful servant."

Matthew 25:23

"Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know."

Jeremiah 33:3
