Robert (Bob) E. Carlson II, 63, passed away on July 30, 2025, in Kailua-Kona, Hawai‘i.

He was born on Nov. 14, 1961, to Robert E. Carlson Sr. and Mae E. Carlson in Utica, N.Y.

Bob graduated from Sandpoint High School with the Class of 1980. Known as the life of the party, Bob always had a joke ready and a smile on his face. He was loved in his community and well known for his work at the design centers of HPM and Lowe's in Hawaii. Wherever he went, he brought warmth, laughter, and kindness — never speaking an unkind word about anyone.

He is survived by his daughter, Tiffany Hale (husband John Hale); his son, Cameron Carlson (wife Kelsey Carlson); and his grandchildren, Cade and Kyler Carlson. He is also survived by his sister, BJ Helmandollar.

Bob was preceded in death by his father, Robert E. Carlson Sr.; his mother, Mae E. Carlson; and his sisters, Carmen Ashburn and Cristy Crane.

Bob had a big heart, a sharp wit, and a deep love for spending time with family and friends. His memory will live on in the laughter he shared and the lives he touched.
