One injured in Desert Aire shooting

DESERT AIRE — One man sustained life-threatening injuries in a shooting at the Shell gas station at 5 Desert Aire Drive SW in Desert Aire Saturday around 5:30 p.m. The case is still under investigation.
“Investigators were on the scene into the night gathering evidence and accepting leads on who the suspects may be,” said Kyle Foreman, public information officer with the Grant County Sheriff’s Office.
The victim was a 22-year-old male from Mattawa who was struck by gunfire and when he left the scene was in life threatening condition, said Foreman. The victim was transported to a regional hospital for treatment and as of Monday, his condition is unknown.
