Grant County coroner asks for public assistance

MOSES LAKE — The Grant County Coroner’s Office is asking for the public’s help finding the family of Deivis Alexander Torres Hernandez.  

According to a statement from the Grant County Sheriff’s Office, the Coroner’s Office has searched through various records and previous addresses in the Seattle area to find his family. However, these attempts have been unsuccessful.  

“It is crucial to locate the immediate family members so the Coroner’s Office can release the body and allow Deivis to have a proper burial,” said the statement.

MOSES LAKE — Boys and Girls Clubs of the Columbia Basin officials are warning people that scammers apparently are using the club’s logo and claiming to be affiliated with the organization. The scammers allegedly were soliciting money door to door along Third Avenue early Tuesday afternoon.

MOSES LAKE — A Moses Lake man was arrested Tuesday in connection with a Nov. 16 shooting in Cascade Valley that left a man with non-life-threatening injuries.
