Huckleberry Days Festival comes to Whitefish

Whitefish will host the 36th annual Huckleberry Days Festival in Depot Park on Aug. 8-10.
The arts festival is open Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Admission is free for the festival, which is sponsored by Whitefish Credit Union. The festival will also have face painting and an art project courtesy of Stumptown Art Studio. Dogs are not permitted in Depot Park during the festival.
Friday, Glacier Bank will serve up free huckleberry ice cream at both Whitefish locations, starting at 11 a.m. until the ice cream runs out.
On Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon, the Whitefish Moose Lodge will host its annual huckleberry pancake breakfast with berries picked by Whitefish Boy Scouts Troop #1936.
Also on Saturday, The WAVE will host the annual Swim the Fish, an open water swim race with half mile, 1 mile and 5K loops taking off from City Beach around 8 a.m.
