Vicki Estey, 64

Vicki Estey, 64, a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend, passed away on July 28, 2025, in Kalispell.

She was born on Sept. 10, 1960, in Hood River, Oregon, to Geridine (Lively) and Daniel Estey. She grew up in the Pacific Northwest and graduated from Stevenson High School in Stevenson, Washington.

She spent her life caring for others, both personally and professionally, with deep compassion shaped by her own health experiences.

Above all, Vicki loved her family fiercely. She was a proud and loving mother to Charles William (Chad) Onthank and Robert Shawn Onthank, both of Bigfork. Her greatest joy came from being a grandmother to Greysun Weston Onthank, Evie Mae Onthank, and Vaeda June Onthank. Her eyes lit up around them, and she treasured every moment she shared with her grandchildren.

Vicki was preceded in death by her mother, Geridine Estey, and her brother, Daniel Estey. 

She is survived by her father, Daniel Estey; her sons, Chad and Shawn Onthank; her brothers, Rick Estey and Monte Estey; her beloved grandchildren, Greysun, Evie, and Vaeda; and her faithful canine companion, Squeaky.

Those who knew Vicki remember her quick wit, her quirky sense of humor, and her unshakable devotion to the people she loved. She was the kind of person who was as genuine as could be, and who made you laugh when you needed it most. Vicki's strength, warmth, and laughter will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A private family gathering will be held to celebrate her life at a later date.
