NO. 31402 Initial Proposal Right of Way Easement City of Whitefish (Whitefish Yards Pedestrian Bridge) 7/25/25 The Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation (DNRC), Kalispell Unit is proposing a right-of-way easement over navigable waters for the Whitefish Yards pedestrian bridge on the following state-owned parcel: NW ¼ NW ¼ of Section 36, Township 31 North, Range 22 West The project is in Whitefish, Montana and is located near the Northwest end of Railroad St, crossing the Whitefish River to the parcel located at 95 Karrow Ave., Whitefish, MT. City of Whitefish is proposing a right of way easement for a pedestrian bridge through navigable waters of the Whitefish River. City of Whitefish proposes a strip of land 12 feet wide, 6 feet on each side of a centerline located in the Northwest quarter of the Northwest quarter of Section 36, Township 31 North, Range 22 West, Principal Meridian, Montana, containing 0.021 acres more or less. The DNRC is in the scoping phase of the project environmental assessment, so all project data are preliminary estimates. In preparation for this project, specialists such as wildlife biologists, hydrologists, soil scientists, and archeologists will be consulted.
