SANDPOINT — A Bonner County resident was arraigned Tuesday and pleaded not guilty for three felony offense and assault charges that allegedly occurred throughout the past year.

Christopher Lawson, 56, is charged with video voyeurism, second-degree stalking and assault.

If found guilty of the alleged crimes, Lawson could face up to six years in jail and a $52,000 fine. He is currently being held at the Bonner County Jail on a $75,000 bond.

Court documents indicate that Lawson is charged with video voyeurism for allegedly putting a cell phone in the victim’s bathroom with the intent to capture a video recording of the woman while utilizing the shower.

Documents further show that Lawson is being charged with second-degree stalking for allegedly going to the same woman’s home and workplace and taking pictures of her car.

Lawson is additionally facing assault charges for allegedly threatening violent actions to the woman, punching her vehicle and yelling profanities — creating a profound fear to the victim.

A trial for the matter is set for Oct. 29, with a pretrial conference hearing slated for Sept. 16.
