The Whitefish Summer Concert Series celebrates the music of Motown

Get down to the Music of Motown: A Tribute Concert, in the final installment of the Whitefish Summer Concert Series this month.
From the bustling streets of Detroit to the top of the Billboard charts, Motown wasn’t just a sound — it was a movement that broke barriers, built bridges and told stories that transcended race, geography and time.
Featuring powerhouse vocals, rich harmonies and the unmistakable Motown groove, this tribute concert pays homage to the iconic songs and legendary artists who gave us the soundtrack of love, resistance and unity. Featuring hits from The Supremes, Marvin Gaye, The Temptations, Smokey Robinson and Stevie Wonder, the show brings to life the voices and rhythms that continue to inspire audiences around the world.
The concert will feature the stunning lead vocals of Alfred Jackson, Sha'Leah Jackson and Amber Wright, backed by a stellar band made up of Dustin Brayley (keyboard and vocals), Mark McCrady (guitar and vocals), Matt Seymour (bass),Toby Ferguson (drums) and Eric Holdhusen (trumpet), with guest artist Sonya Jason on saxophone and reeds.
Event producer Meredith Patterson of Merie Productions said this show is more than entertainment — it’s a tribute to artists who were changemakers, dreamers and icons of resilience.
The concert event, which was produced in collaboration with Whitefish Theatre Company, starts at 8 p.m. on Aug. 15, 16 and 17 at the O’Shaughnessy Center, 1 Central Ave., Whitefish.
