Dave Wenk announced on August 4 that he will be running for Boundary County Commissioner – District 1, the position currently held by Lester Pinkerton.

Pinkerton has decided not to run for reelection.

Wenk is currently the chairman of the Boundary County Republican Central Committee, and he has been the Boundary County Noxious Weed Superintendent for the past 11 years.

“I believe in leadership that listens, leads with integrity, and delivers results,” said Wenk. “I’m running because I love this county and want to help ensure its future remains strong, independent, and rooted in our shared values.”
