Barre at the Winery CASA benefit Wednesday

The third annual Barre at the Winery event to benefit CASA will be at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday on the grass outside of Coeur d'Alene Cellars, 3890 N. Schreiber Way, Coeur d'Alene.

The third annual Barre at the Winery event to benefit CASA will be at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday on the grass outside Coeur d'Alene Cellars, 3890 N. Schreiber Way, Coeur d'Alene.
Established in 2002 and owned by Kimber Gates Travis, Coeur d'Alene Cellars is partnering with Reform Studio to raise money for child victims. The all-female-staffed Reform Studio has been under the ownership of Kelly Pintler since 2012.
“When women combine their talents and relationships, amazing things can happen," barre instructor Cammie Reed said in a Monday news release. "CASA is an important organization that rarely receives the attention it deserves. This idea of this event was created on the floor of the studio after class when several clients wanted to find a way to combine their passions in a way to give back to the community they love."
CASA provides trained advocates for over 240 victims of child abuse and neglect in North Idaho each year. These advocates investigate child protection cases, represent each child's best interests in court and assist with reunification or safe transitions into permanent homes. For many older children, CASA advocates may be the only stable adults in their lives.
Barre is a low-impact exercise that includes elements of ballet, yoga, Pilates and strength training.
