Kyle Manzardo, the former Lake City High and Washington State star, went 2 for 3 with two runs scored for the Cleveland Guardians in a 9-5 win at the Chicago White Sox on Friday.
Manzardo was hit by a pitch in the first inning by Chicago starting pitcher Aaron Civale, who the Guardians’ traded to Tampa Bay in 2023 for Manzardo.
Manzardo doubled leading off the third inning and scored on an RBI single by Carlos Santana to give the Guardians a 6-0 lead.
Manzardo is now batting .239 (76 for 318) with 14 doubles, 18 home runs and 49 RBIs in 98 games.

Former Coeur d’Alene High star Colson Yankoff had one reception, a 9-yard pass from Josh Johnson in the third quarter for the Washington Commanders, who lost to the New England Patriots 48-18 in Foxborough, Mass.
