POST FALLS — Two years into sharing Asian fusion food at her business, Benzo Box at the Post Falls Pavilion, Mercedes Segismundo has earned a reputation for her karaoke skills.

“She’s always singing and dancing,” Kym Nagel said.

Pavilion owner Nagel said Benzo Box was one of the first food trucks to open in the Pavilion on Horsehaven Avenue and an update is coming to give Benzo Box and Spill the Tea a drive-thru option across from the nearby UPS store.

The Pavilion’s food trucks aren’t quite at capacity, but the two-year milestone was one Nagel was looking forward to celebrating with events like the luau.

“Each truck is doing a lot of community things. I’m just excited,” Nagel said.

Segismundo’s background as a Disney performer and Nickelodeon performer during her time in Florida keeps the energy high for anyone visiting her food truck.

As she awaits the new drive-thru addition to be finished, she plans to keep the party going at Benzo Box.

“I’ll turn it on and they’ll start dancing,” Segismundo said.

Christina Petit, president and CEO of the Post Falls Chamber of Commerce, said food trucks at the Pavilion are an asset to the Post Falls food scene.

"They have a lot of food options, are family-friendly and have lots of things in one place for tourists to try,” Petit said.

The celebration continues over the weekend with games, massages and face painting.
