Robert 'Bob' Kidd, 76

Robert "Bob" Kidd, of Athol, Idaho, passed away Feb. 14, 2025, at Kootenai Health in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. He was born March 9, 1948, in Chicago, Ill.
He is survived by his wife, Claudia, his brother, Tom, and his wife, Sharon, of Chicago, Ill. His daughter, Andrea, and her children, Waylon and Aliza, of Rathdrum, Idaho. His stepdaughter, Julia, and son-in-law Bryce Baker, and their children, Jadyn, Rilynn, Beckett, Blake and Baili, of Rathdrum, Idaho.
After graduating from high school in 1966, he left Chicago to join the Air Force. As a sergeant, he worked as an aircraft maintenance specialist. In December 1969, he was injured while serving in Vietnam and was honorably discharged.
His next adventure in 1976 took him to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, where he spent the next 25 years working for the Kootenai Sheriff's Department and spent a short time as a member of the Search and Rescue Posse. He was a supervisor, dispatcher and took 911 calls. He also dispatched law enforcement to fires, medical and 911 calls.
Bob retired in 2005. He spent 20+ years working on his property, enjoying his horses, dogs and cat. Bob married Claudia in 2011 and enjoyed special times with his family and friends.
Mr. Bob will be deeply missed by all.
