Shakespeare headed for Sandpoint

SANDPOINT — The classic sounds of Shakespeare will soon fill the summer air as a Montana theatrical production makes its way to Sandpoint for an unforgettable experience.
Join Montana Shakespeare in the Parks for free performances of Shakespeare’s “Henry V” on Aug. 17 and “As You Like it” on Aug. 19 at Lakeview Park, or the weather inclement location of Sandpoint Middle School.
The play starts at 5 p.m., with seating as first come, first serve.
Sandpoint is just one of the 65 stops made by the production crew, who aims to “make live, theatrical productions of Shakespeare accessible to communities in Montana and surrounding states with an emphasis on underserved, rural areas who would not otherwise have this opportunity,” according to the Shakespeare Theatre Association.
The crew will perform "Henry V," sharing the story of King Henry V's military campaign in France and "As You Like It," a Shakespeare comedy, across five different states as they celebrate Montana Shakespeare in the Parks' 53rd year on tour.
