Tanya Marie Thompson, 47, of Hayden, Idaho, passed away peacefully July 28, 2025, at the Hospice Schneidmiller House in Hayden, Idaho. Tanya was born May 29, 1978, in Spokane, Wash., to Judy and Richard Thompson of Post Falls. 

She is survived by her father, Richard (Dick) Thompson, and Mary Lou; daughters Maizy and Cadence; sons Regan and Julius; sisters Jennifer Phillips (Jeff) and Paula Jones (Harrison); niece Mikayla; nephews Damon and HJ; and close friends Randy and Ron.

Tanya is preceded in death by her mother, Judy Thompson.

Tanya will be remembered for her love of the outdoors. Her happy place was the North Fork of the Cd'A River. In her younger years, she enjoyed going to work with her dad and hunting with her family. She always had a love for animals, rescuing wild rabbits and cats. Recently, Tanya acquired six baby chicks. She was waiting excitedly for the first egg. On the morning of her passing, the first egg was laid. Tanya enjoyed cooking and creating new recipes to try out on Ron and Randy. 

A celebration of life will be held at Real Life Ministries, located at 1860 N. Cecil Road, Post Falls, on Aug. 23 at 11 a.m. A potluck reception will follow.
