James L. Ferguson, 77, of Bonners Ferry, Idaho, passed on August 10, 2025.
Jim was born in Jefferson, Iowa to Darwin Ferguson and Ruby McLatchey Ferguson on December 8, 1947. He was brother to the late Tom Ferguson of Chicago and Joe Ferguson of Otho, Iowa.
He grew up in Britt, Iowa before moving to Webster City, Iowa, to complete high school in 1965. In 1969, he graduated from Upper Iowa University and shortly thereafter joined the Army. He served six years as a military police officer and was honorably discharged. In 1977, he moved to Bonners Ferry with his three children and wife. He ran a successful business, Kreugels Men's Shop, until 1997 when he retired. Hayden Lake, Idaho, became his home in retirement for almost 30 years.
Jim is predeceased by his mother, Ruby McLatchey Ferguson; his father, Darwin Ferguson; his oldest son, Timothy J. Ferguson; and his granddaughter, Ella Ferguson (Tim). He is survived by his son, Michael (Tanja) Ferguson of Bonners Ferry and his daughter, Keri Barbero of Boise, Idaho. Survivng grandchildren include Tyler Ferguson (Tim), Sarah Ferguson (Tim), Amy Ferguson (Mike), Adelaide Farnam (Keri), and Benjamin Barbero (Keri).
