Alex was born July 6, 1949, in Spokane, Wash., son of the late Alex D’Andera Sr. and Marion Whyte.

Alex attended local schools in the Silver Valley and was a Kellogg High School graduate, Class of 1967. He married Edee Johnson on June 18, 1986, at their house, which was being built up the North Fork of the Coeur d'Alene River. The couple enjoyed horseback riding and covered many trails in the area. They moved to Kingston for a short period while acquiring their dream property out at Lane, the Omega. Later, they switched to going on SxS rides through the mountains. Alex was an avid hunter and enjoyed the outdoors as much as possible. He was able to take a trophy bull elk that scored 10th in Idaho one year! Alex was a member of the Comanchero Car Clu,b where he and Edee helped with their many different car shows and events.

In addition to his parents, Alex is preceded in death by his sister, Connie Silvernail.
