Nov. 3, 1953 — July 14, 2025
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of David Ivy.
David and his family moved to Sagle, Idaho, in 1982. He worked locally as a framer and a drywaller. He finished his working years at All About Chimneys.
He was an avid outdoors man, most of all, a fisherman.
Lord how that man loved to fish and be at his second home, Captn’s Table in Garfield Bay.
He was also a member of LPOIC.
David was preceded in death by his sister, Kathleen; his niece, Chrys Lynn; his brothers, Brad and Gary; and brother-in-law, Sam.
David is survived by his wife of 52 years, Kathy Ivy; his son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Jen Ivy; daughter Joanna Ivy and grandchildren, Cruz and Catalina; his parents, Dora and Troy Johnson; his brothers, Donald Ivy and Tory Johnson; his sisters, Roxanne, Susan (Dan), Karen Ivy and Tralyn (Ken) Murray; and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made in David’s name to Community Cancer Services of Sandpoint, 1205 U.S. 2, Suite 101B, Sandpoint, ID 83864.
Our family would like to thank all the friends and family who have helped and supported all of us this past five years.
There will be a celebration of life Saturday, Sept. 6, at Garfield Bay Park. It will be a potluck, starting at noon.
Please come and share stories, laughter and tears.
David was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend.
