George William Barrett, 84

George Barrett, of Wallace, Idaho, went home to be with his Savior on July 29, 2025. George spent much of his life working as a miner and a mechanic. He had a passion for old cars and often drove his Model A through town, a symbol of a man who never lost his love for the Old West. 

George was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ellen, and his brother, John. He is survived by sons Paul, Ron and Wayne; cousins Bill and Julie; nephews Jeff, Donny and Kelly; nieces Debbie, Tracy and Noel; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren — and lifelong chum Ron Dayton.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, 2025, at The Prayer Station (Victory World Outreach), 215 Fourth St., Wallace, ID 83873. Lunch will be provided after the service.
