Kyle Manzardo, the former Lake City High and Washington State star, had an RBI single in the fifth inning to tie the game at 4-4 for the Cleveland Guardians in a 9-4 win over the visiting Miami Marlins on Tuesday.
In the past week, Manzardo has three home runs and five RBIs in five games, raising his total to 21 home runs and 54 RBIs this season.

Idaho 2, UC Riverside 0: At Moscow, Georgia Whitehead, a junior from Lake City High, scored in the 16th minute for the Vandals in a nonconference win against the Highlanders at the Kibbie Dome. Whitehead made her Vandal debut after playing her previous two seasons at Washington State.
Utah State 1, Washington State 0: At Pullman, Austin Miller scored in the 76th minute for the Aggies in a nonconference opener for both schools. Elliotte Kortus, a junior from Lake City High, played 25 minutes for Washington State.
