Auditions for "Need a Little Christmas" will be 6 to 8 p.m. Aug. 24-25 at Expressions School of Performing Arts, 2825 N. Highway 41, Post Falls.

Formerly "Traditions of Christmas," this beloved holiday production is casting performers of all ages as it returns to the stage for its third year.

Needed: Strong singers age 8 and older who can move confidently across the stage. No formal dance training is required, just a joyful spirit and willingness to shine.

“If you love Christmas and singing, this is the place for you," Beth Taylor of TOCNW (Taylor Owned Company Productions) said in an Aug. 6 news release. "There are a few roles that require dancing, but for the most part, it’s just bringing the holiday spirit to the stage.”

Rehearsals will be one or two times a week.

"Need a Little Christmas" was written by Laura Little Theatricals and produced by TOCNW Productions. Little's Broadway credits include co-producer roles in "Our Town," the Tony Award-winning "Come From Away," "Peter and the Starcatcher" and "First Date," as well as an off-Broadway production of "All is Calm." TOCNW Productions, owned by Rick and Beth Taylor, has collaborated with Little on "Need a Little Christmas" since 2014.

The production is done in Radio City Music Hall style, featuring choreographed kickline numbers, song and dance numbers set to favorite Christmas songs, a military tribute and a grand nativity conclusion.

"Need a Little Christmas" will be on stage Dec. 5-22 at the Midge and Pepper Smock Family Theatre at the Kroc.
