'Real Yellowstone' to play Aug. 23 at Historic Rex Theater

BONNERS FERRY — "The Real Yellowstone" will play at 7 p.m. Aug. 23 at the Historic Rex Theater, 7222 Main St., Bonners Ferry.
A powerful conservation film, Tom Opre's "The Real Yellowstone" dives into the untold stories of rural families, wildlife conflict and what’s at stake for the American West.
Tickets are free, paid for by a local family that asks attendees to consider donating to the Shepherds of Wildlife Society, a nonprofit dedicated to sharing information and education about wildlife conservation and the importance of reconnecting society with nature.
A VIP meet-and-greet experience with Opre will be from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. at the Wellness Tea Bar and Organic Bistro next door to the Rex at 7224 Main St. Attendees must be "Real Yellowstone" ticket holders. First-come, first-served.
A 30-minute panel discussion with Opre and local farmers and ranchers will be held following the film.
