Shirley Morden, 63
Shoshone News-Press | UPDATED 8 months AGO
Shirley Ann Morden, 63, of Murray, Idaho, passed away Friday, Aug. 8, 2025, after a courageous battle with liver disease. Shirley was born Oct. 27, 1961, and adopted by William and Frances Schwartz in Yakima, Wash., shortly thereafter. Growing up in North Idaho, Shirley inherited a love of the outdoors and all things green. This love transpired into a fulfilling life as a landscaper, groundskeeper and expert gardener.
In April 1997, at the age of 35, Shirley was blessed with the birth of her son, Noah Morden (formerly Anderson). She continued her life of family, motherhood and mother nature. In 2004, Shirley met Frank Morden Sr. and fell in love. They wed in 2005, where she gained two additional children, Mandy (Morden) Brady and Frank Morden Jr., to create their own blended family.
After retiring, Shirley moved to Murray, Idaho, with her husband, Frank and son Noah. She spent her time enjoying nature, taking care of the garden and enmeshing herself in the Murray community. Shirley loved the quiet life Murray gave her.
Shirley was preceded in death by her father, William Schwartz and her mother, Frances Schwartz. She is survived by her husband, Frank Morden Sr.; son Noah Morden; stepdaughter Mandy Brady; stepson Frank Morden Jr.; and brothers William (Billie) Schwartz and Mike Schwartz.
