Cheryl Ann Kosanke, 70

Cheryl Ann Kosanke, 70, of Osburn, Idaho, passed away Aug. 16, 2025, at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, Wash. She was born Dec. 22, 1954, in Wallace, Idaho, to the late Sterling and Edith (Jasberg) Roberts.

Cheryl married the love of her life, Richard Kosanke, on June 11, 1977, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Together they raised two children, Richard and Misty. Cheryl worked as an office administrator and was known for her love of traveling, long drives, trips to the casino and listening to a good thunderstorm. More than anything, she loved her family and cherished every moment with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Kosanke; her parents; her brother, Mike Roberts, and her stepfather, Donald Jasberg.

Cheryl is survived by her children, Richard D. Kosanke of Osburn and Misty (Todd) Cruz of Richland, Wash.; four grandchildren, Damian Kosanke, Shalynn (Brian) Larsen, Bryce M. Kosanke and Isaac Kosanke; two great-grandchildren, Adrian Kosanke and Emerson Larsen; her brother, Steve Roberts and her sister, Cathi Roberts.

A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 31, 2025, at Gene Day Park in Osburn. Please bring a side dish or dessert and drinks of your choice. The main dish will be provided.

We will miss her more than words can say, but we will carry her love, laughter, and the many memories we shared with her in our hearts forever. While our hearts ache, we find comfort knowing she is now reunited with Dad, the love of her life. — Richard and Misty
