COEUR d’ALENE — A man accused of sexually abusing two children is in jail on $500,000 bail.
Jeremiah D. Kamp, 31, is charged with two counts of lewd conduct with a minor under the age of 16 and with two counts of sexual abuse of a child, all felonies.
Kamp is accused of sexually abusing two children who were under the age of 14, according to the indictment. The abuse allegedly occurred between November 2024 and June 2025.
A grand jury indicted Kamp on the charges Aug. 14, according to court records. A judge signed a $500,000 warrant for Kamp’s arrest on the same day. Police arrested Kamp on Aug. 15.
At the time of his arrest, Kamp was on probation for possession of a controlled substance, a felony. Kamp was one of two men charged last July in connection with the fatal overdose of a Post Falls man.
In exchange for Kamp’s guilty plea, prosecutors dismissed a charge of delivery of a controlled substance, as well as a habitual offender enhancement, and to recommend that Kamp be placed in a prison treatment program, also called a rider.
Last November, Kamp received a sentence of seven years in prison, the maximum possible penalty, with parole eligibility after three years. The sentence was then suspended and Kamp was ordered to complete two years of supervised probation, contingent upon him completing a local rehabilitation program.
