Mobile dinosaur exhibit draws crowd to Boundary County Library

Tuesday, Aug. 12, around 80 people gathered at the Boundary County Library to step back in time.
The Idaho Museum of Natural History’s Mobile Museum Anywhere program made a stop at the park outside the library that day, bringing its traveling dinosaur exhibit from Pocatello to North Idaho.
From 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., education specialist Pam Pascali led guided tours of the mobile museum, which featured 3D-printed replicas of dinosaur fossils found in Idaho, including a full replica of the state’s official dinosaur.
The mobile museum van is designed to function as an extension of the Idaho Museum of Natural History in Pocatello, which features exhibits that allow visitors to walk through and interact with both original and replica specimens from the museum’s natural history collections.
Library staff said they plan to coordinate future visits with the IMNH.
According to the museum, the Mobile Museum Anywhere program aims to bridge the gap between its collections in Pocatello and communities across Idaho, providing access to scientific exhibits that otherwise might be out of reach.
