North Valley Music School holds grand opening of new building

North Valley Music School is holding a grand opening celebration of its new facility on Sunday, Aug. 24.
The long-awaited building is designed to provide North Valley Music School students, teachers, and staff with an ideal environment designed for music education.
Located at 1998 River Lakes Parkway, the new school sits in a central location designed for optimal access for students and families across the Flathead Valley. The building includes valuable space for current and future programming to ensure that anyone who wishes to engage in music education has the opportunity to do so.
Project Whitefish Kids donated land at Smith Fields for the project, and the city of Whitefish has agreed to a $10 per year sublease.
The celebration runs from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Live music begins at 5:30 p.m. with Archertown. Food will be available from Himalayan Rockies, Mad Cajun Smokehouse and Sweet Peaks food trucks.
Tours of the building will also be available.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony and remarks take place at 6 p.m., followed by cake and a celebratory toast.
Attendees are asked to park in the soccer and baseball field lots or in the southern field at The Springs at Whitefish. Reserved parking will be available on site for those who need extra assistance or are unable to walk longer distances.
