ATHOL — Riders on Silverwood's "Spin Cycle" ride remained suspended upside down for more than 15 seconds as a result of what the park called "a rare occurrence."

In an interview with KREM 2 News, a spokesperson for the park explained that "when the weight of the riders is perfectly balanced on both sides, the ride can hold itself straight up in place for a couple of seconds."

A TikTok posted earlier in the week, which has been viewed over 500,000 times, showed the ride stuck in one position while the riders were upside down.

No injuries were reported.

A sepia-toned photograph of about 30 businessmen hangs in the office of Coeur d’Alene Regional Chamber’s President and CEO, Linda Coppess. Though dressed in the fashion of decades past, the men gathered for a purpose that has endured: uplifting area businesses through the Chamber. The photo is a reminder of the Chamber’s 114 years of history, Coppess said in her address to nearly 200 attendees at Tuesday morning’s Breakfast Connect event.
