Courtesy photo The Sting Soccer Club 2013 girls team claimed first place in the U13 Gold Division of the Empire Cup last weekend. The Sting opened Friday with a 0-0 draw against WE Surf 13G GA. On Saturday, the Sting defeated the Surf WE CB G13 GAA 3-0. On Sunday, the Sting posted a 2-1 victory over Sandpoint Strikers 2013G, earning a spot in the championship match. In the final, the Sting SC defeated WE Surf 13G GA 2-0 to capture the championship title. Courtesy photo The BVB International Academy Idaho U10 boys soccer team traveled to Puyallup, Wash., for the River Jam Challenge, hosted by Washington Premier Football Club, Aug. 15–18. The BVBIA team went undefeated through five matches and closed out the weekend with a championship victory over Washington Premier B16-Gold.
