 Photo by JULIE SPEELMAN The Sting 2011 girls Trapped took first at the Surf Tournament at the Dwight Merkel Sports Complex in Spokane. On Saturday the Sting beat the EW Surf 11/10 3-0, as Brinlee Plumb, Brightyn Gatton and Presley Moreau each scored one goal. Later Saturday, the Sting beat the Storm FC GHS 5-0. Giuliana Petrillo, Brighton Gaston and MacKenzie Dolan each scored one goal, and Presley Moreau scored three goals. On Sunday morning the Sting lost 1-0 to the WE Surf 11 Trapped team. Elle Sousley was hurt during the game and the team finished the game one player short because of no substitutes. In a rematch in the championship game on Sunday afternoon, the Sting beat the WE Surf 11 Trapped team 1-0, on a goal by Presley Moreau.     Courtesy photo The BVB International Academy Idaho U10 boys soccer team traveled to Puyallup, Wash., for the River Jam Challenge, hosted by Washington Premier Football Club, Aug. 15–18. The BVBIA team went undefeated through five matches and closed out the weekend with a championship victory over Washington Premier B16-Gold.
