ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS  Independent Highway District  FY26 Schweitzer Mountain Road Overlay Project    Separate sealed BIDS for the FY26 Schweitzer Mountain Road Overlay Project, located in Bonner County, Idaho, will be received by the Independent Highway District at 31656 Highway 200, Suite 101 (PO Box 700), Ponderay, ID 83852, until 10:00 a.m. local time on September 5th, 2025 and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.    The work includes 1.5” plant mix pavement overlay of Schweitzer Mountain Road for 1.1 miles. Work will include placement of shoulder rock, traffic control and all related work. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS    NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Ponderay City Council will hold a public hearing on Monday, September 15, 2025, at 5:30 p.m., to consider the following request:    File VR25-004, Ponderay Mobile Home Park, LP (Brown), Variance Request: Ponderay Mobile Home Park, LP (Brown) is requesting variance approval to construct a second mini storage building containing 9 units, ±210-feet from the center of the Kootenai Cutoff Road right-of-way. Ponderay City Code 9-4C-3, Commercial, Uses Permitted, allows for ministorage to be constructed provided they are located at least 300-feet from the center of the nearest arterial. The proposed structure was part of the original site plan approval from the late 1990’s, however the subject structure was not constructed prior to expiration of the site plan. The subject property is ±10.9-acres and is located east of the Union Pacific Railroad and north of Kootenai Cutoff Road in Section 2, Township 57 North, Range 2 West, Boise Meridian. The existing site is developed with the Ponderay Mobile Home Park which includes one storage unit structure adjacent to the proposed location for use by the park tenants.
