Behold the Power and Beauty — Concert features Modern Rock Orchestra

Red Lodge-based guitarist and composer Grant Ferguson and the Modern Rock Orchestra bring Power and Beauty, an electrifying multimedia concert, to the Whitefish Performing Arts Center on Sept. 6.  

Modern Rock Orchestra premiered to sold-out Montana venues in 2021 and continues to captivate audiences with its bold fusion of instrumental rock and symphonic orchestration.  

Featuring new arrangements and a powerful stage production that combines Ferguson’s cinematic compositions and melodic guitar work, the performance explores timeless themes — struggle and triumph, love and longing, darkness and light — through evocative soundscapes and immersive visuals displayed throughout the show.  

“It captures the essence of my music and reflects something deeper about life itself,” Ferguson said.  

A horn and string section will feature Glacier Symphony Orchestra players.  

Ferguson, a Guitar One Records artist, has been compared to guitar legends Jeff Beck, Joe Satriani and David Gilmour of Pink Floyd, according to a press release. His sixth studio album, “Windswept Isle,” hit No. 1 on the Roots Music Report Progressive Rock charts and made it to the Grammy ballot.   

The concert will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. The Whitefish Performing Arts Center is located at 127 Spokane Ave.
