Polson's Max Milton opens season with win at Corvallis Invite

Polson sophomore Max Milton opened his season in championship form, firing a 5-under-par 66 to win the Corvallis Invitational on Aug. 18 at Missoula Country Club. Milton, the defending Class A state champion, finished eight strokes ahead of the field in the opening event of the season.
Milton’s round included six birdies and an eagle, securing his place atop the leaderboard and giving the Pirates a strong start to the 2025 campaign.
The following day, Polson competed against Corvallis in a dual at Canyon River Golf Club. Milton again turned in a strong score, carding a 4-under 68 to finish runner-up. Corvallis senior Brady Powell shot a course-record 60 to claim medalist honors.
