‘Wizard of Oz’ auditions scheduled by Bigfork Playhouse Children’s Theatre

Follow the yellow brick road to the Bigfork Playhouse Children's Theatre to audition for “The Wizard of Oz."
Auditions will be held Sept. 2 at the Bigfork Center for Performing Arts, 526 Electric Ave., Bigfork. Auditions for students in grades second, third and fourth will be held from 4 to 5 p.m. Students in fifth and sixth grade will audition from 5 to 6 p.m. and students in seventh through 12th grade, from 6 to 8 p.m. Participants should wear comfortable shoes to move and dance in.
Students interested in auditioning are asked to prepare a 30-second monologue or short selection from another play or book. Materials will also be available if needed. At the audition, participants will also learn a piece to sing.
Students interested in working behind-the-scenes are invited to join the technical crew to work on sets, props, costumes, lights and sound. To sign up, call 837-4886 or email [email protected] to sign up.
Performances are scheduled for Sept. 19 and 20 and Sept. 26, 27 and 28.
