Charles William “Chuck” Bolton, of Post Falls, Idaho, passed away peacefully Aug. 20, 2025, surrounded by family. He was born May 5, 1941, in Butte, Mont.
Chuck is survived by his devoted wife of 61 years, Darlene; beloved daughter Becky Jo Randles (Destry); daughter-in-law Melissa Bolton; grandchildren Morgan (Taylor), Rohnin (Abi), Gabriel (Aydah), Kaitlyn and Lily; great-grandson Damon; brothers Mickey (Vonnie) and Tim (Judy); brother-in-law John Price; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his cherished son, Bill, his parents, parents-in-law and numerous siblings.
A retired Delta Airlines employee, Chuck will be remembered as “the nicest guy you will ever meet,” with a playful sense of humor and an unwavering devotion to family. Chuck and Darlene were blessed to share five years of dating and another 61 years of marriage. He was always there for his children, and his grandchildren were the lights of his life. Family trips to California, Hawaii and Utah, as well as beloved Bolton gatherings in Butte, are among his most treasured times. Chuck will be missed more deeply than words can express.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, 2025, in Butte at Mountain View Cemetery, followed by a lunch reception at the Butte Depot. Online guest book available through Bell Tower Funeral Home, Post Falls.
