Someone called the Kalispell Police Department seeking advice regarding an unsafe working environment, allegedly it was caused by the business remaining open despite a partial roof collapse. The caller was given the phone number for the city building inspector.

Someone reportedly started their vehicle to warm it up when a strange man got in and started pulling out of the parking lot. They allegedly tried to open the door to pull him out and were nearly run over when he took off. The owner called officers back after reportedly spotting the suspect talking to another man. Officers located and searched for the stolen vehicle with permission. Nothing suspicious was found.

A man in an old brown GMC reportedly caused a scene in a drive-thru and was giving staff grief, trying to get free meals. He was described as wearing a blue wool jacket and jeans. Eventually, he left.

A driver allegedly told a man walking in the middle of the road to stop beating a white dog. He responded by chasing her car.

A woman was allegedly “wiped clean” when she discovered about $5,000 had been taken from her bank account. An officer told her to gather her bank statements and bring them in to review them together to determine which transactions were fraudulent.

A stolen credit card was reportedly used for six unauthorized charges totaling $1,432.82.

A deer allegedly busted through a resident’s fence one afternoon and went to the ground injured and probably stunned. Fish and Game determined the deer was well enough to leave on her own and opened the gate. The fortunate deer ran off to see another day.
