ALL-IDAHO HIGH SCHOOL BOYS, GIRLS SOCCER: Cd'A Charter's Macmillan, Daigle lead local honorees

Senior goalkeeper Mattis Macmillan, who led Coeur d’Alene Charter Academy to its first state title, was named 4A boys Player of the Year as the all-Idaho high school boys and girls soccer teams were announced recently by The Idaho Statesman newspaper of Boise.
Macmillan posted 17 shutouts and allowed just two goals in 19 games for the Panthers.
Craig Daigle of Coeur d’Alene Charter was named 4A boys Coach of the Year. The Panthers, in the program’s seventh year, finished 18-1-0.
Three other Coeur d’Alene Charter players — junior midfielder Taylor Smith (nine goals, 15 assists), senior defender Liam Hughes (nine goals, six assists) and junior defender Creighton Lehosit — were named to the 4A boys first team.
Charter junior midfielder Pietro Attolini was named to the second team.
Timberlake freshman forward Lillee Ward (14 goals) was named to the 4A girls first team.
Bonners Ferry senior midfielder Alexys Mierke was named to the second team.
Sandpoint junior goalkeeper Landon Brinkmeier was named to the 5A boys first team.
Senior midfielder Logan McGrann and senior defender Caiden Gion of Sandpoint were named to the second team.
Moscow senior defender Kolbi Kiblen was named 5A girls Player of the Year. Jessica Brown of Moscow was named 5A girls Coach of the Year.
Sandpoint senior defender Cecilia Dignan-Omodt, Lewiston junior midfielder Avery Lathen and Moscow senior defender Brooklyn Becker were named to the 5A girls first team.
Senior forward Addison Lassen and sophomore midfielder Hazel Stevens of Moscow, and senior defender Trinity Bonebrake of Lewiston, were named to the second team.
Coaches in each classification nominate players and vote for the all-state teams. The Idaho Statesman hosts the voting process and publishes the results.
