Shop, vehicles destroyed in fire

KINGSTON — A shop and vehicles in Shoshone County were destroyed in a Sunday night fire.
Silver Valley Fire Rescue Chief Scott Dietrich said a call came in about 5 p.m. reporting that a large shop near a residence in the North Fork region was engulfed in flames. The shop contained several vehicles, including a tractor, two pickup trucks and a car, all of which were destroyed in the blaze.
Firefighters worked more than two hours and deployed three engines, two water tenders and multiple EMS personnel to bring the fire under control. An adjacent home sustained exterior damage.
No injuries were reported. Most emergency personnel cleared the scene by 7:30 p.m., although one crew remained to monitor for hotspots.
An investigation continues.
