Columbia Falls firefighters responded to an RV fire Wednesday afternoon off North Fork Loop Road. No one was injured, but the man living in the RV lost many of his possessions in the blaze, which was called in about 2:08 p.m.
Firefighters were on the scene 8 minutes after the call. The was likely caused by a wood stove or associated piping, Columbia Falls Fire Chief Karl Weeks said.
Firefighters were off the scene about 3:30 p.m. The RV looked to be a total loss. Columbia Falls Police and Three Rivers Ambulance also responded to the blaze.
The Red Cross was notified to help the victim, who apparently had just moved his belongings out of storage and into the RV.
