ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Layton Goins, Priest River Football

This week's Athlete of the Week is Layton Goins of Priest River Football.

A sophomore wide receiver, running back and middle linebacker, Layton hauled in seven receptions for a career-high 128 receiving yards and two touchdowns on offense, and collected 16 tackles, nine of which were solo and two of which were for losses, on defense in a 5A state quarterfinals matchup against Aberdeen. On the season, the 5-foot-9-inch 155-pound standout finished with 839 total yards, 12 total touchdowns, and 83 total tackles.
