Flathead Nation photographers share work in Bigfork

Indian Country in a Glimpse, A Contemporary Photography Exhibition opens Dec. 11 at the Bigfork Library and features more than 35 original photographs by six photographers of the Flathead Nation.
The photographers, who studied with David Spear either at Two Eagle River School or Salish Kootenai College, share work inspired by the land, wildlife, family and the impact of humans on the landscape. They include Amaru Bennett and Jason Songers from Arlee, Katie Medicine Bull from Ronan, Ricardo (Rick) Costilla and Sara Scott from Polson, and Kresta Wickum from Pablo.
“Indian Country in a Glimpse” is on display through February, with a reception from 3-6 p.m. Dec. 11.
The exhibit was also on display at Salish Kootenai College in Pablo in October and November.
