School holiday concerts start this weekend

There’s a host of school holiday concerts on tap in the coming weeks.

Ruder Elementary has all of its concerts on Dec. 18, with kindergarten at 9 a.m., first grade 9:50, second 10:40, third 1 p.m., fourth 1:50 and fifth 2:40 p.m.

Glacier Gateway Elementary has its concerts Dec. 17 starting with first grade at 9 a.m., grades 2 and 3 at 9:45 a.m. and grades  4 and 5 at 10:45 a.m. Kindergarten is at 10:30 a.m. Jan. 23, which is a winter concert.

At the junior high, band concerts start 6 p.m. Dec. 15, choirs at 6 p.m. Dec. 16 with 6th grade and 7th grade mixed choirs and 7 p.m. for 8th grade mixed choirs and 7/8 combo treble choir.

At the high school, the choir has its concerts starting at 7 p.m. Dec. 10, a Jazz cafe with the Columbians and other bands at 5 p.m. Dec. 14 at Cedar Creek Lodge

The Columbians play this Sunday at 3 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. along with the Don Lawrence Orchestra for its big band dance at the Salvation Army Community Center.

The high school band concerts are 7 p.m. Dec. 17.

The drumline will also be performing and marching in the Night of Lights parade on Friday night.
